SUTAMS, under the auspices of Community Medicine department a free treatment camp was organized at Maruthoor on 26.03.2021. All specialty doctors were present in the camp in which 82 patients attended. 46 patients underwent diabetes screening. Free medicines were distributed to the patients. 10 patients were referred to #SUTAMS for further treatment. The Camp came to an end by 2:30 pm.

Each year we commemorate World TB Day to raise public awareness about the devastating health, social and economic consequences of tuberculosis (TB) and to step up efforts to end the global TB epidemic. The Ordnance Factories’ Day is observed on 18th of March every year. The production of India’s oldest Ordnance Factory, which is at Cossipore of Kolkata, was started in 18th of March, 1802. The day is celebrated by displaying the rifles, guns, artillery, ammunition..etc in exhibitions all over India.

SUT Academy of Medical Sciences celebrates ‘‘World Kidney Day 2021’ on 11th March 2021 marking this special day of observance.

The World Kidney Day Steering Committee has declared 2021 the year of “Living Well with Kidney Disease”. This has been done to both increase education and awareness about effective symptom management and patient empowerment, with the goal of encouraging life participation.
