SUTAMS, celebrated “International Women’s day” in a grand way on 8th March 2021. The programme started with a flash mob by the members of the students union. The #Gynaecology and #Pathology department together Conducted a cervical screening camp and PAP smear examination. 52 patients attended the camp and the camp will be there for 1 week.
In the Afternoon, a #CME Programme was conducted and the speaker was Dr Lekshmi Ammal,vice president, TVM,OBGYN society.The topic was ” Women Makes Herself”.It was a real motivational talk to the women in general and the public at large.There was a quiz programme conducted by Mrs Shany Franklin and the winners veere given prizes.Principal,Dr K Salil Kumar presented a momento to Dr Lekshmi Ammal. 250 participants attended the #CME Programme. Every participants were given sweets and high tea.The meeting came to an end by 4pm.All lady staffs came in Pink dress code.

SUT Academy of Medical Sciences observes ‘Central Excise Day 2021’ on 24th February 2021 marking this special day of observance.
Central Excise Day is celebrated every year on February 24 across the whole India to encourage the employees of the excise department carry out the central excise duty all over India in a better way in order and even to prevent the corruption in goods manufacturing business as well as implement other rules to carry out best possible excise services.
SUTAMS has conducted on 20th February 2021, the 3rd #CME.
Dr Drishya S Kumar has introduced the speaker Dr (Col) K E Rajan. In his talk, he emphasized the history of #Medicine, #Ethics and the role of Doctors in society. He also told the students the diagnosis and prognosis of disease in general. It was followed by a question – answer session. This CME was attended by 97 participants.
The 2nd #CME Programme was conducted 12th February 2021.
The topic of programme was “#MBBS Beginning of a journey towards self discovery”. This online CME was conducted by Dr Cherian Varghese, Head, Non communicable disease, #WHO, Geneva. He in his speech, motivated the students in the role of Doctors and to serve the community in general and patients in particular. He also explained in detail the various opportunities which are available on the life of a medical doctor.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr K. Salil Kumar, Procipal, #SUTAMS and 99 students participated in the programme
SUTAMS, conducted a grand farewell function to its 2 senior professors who retired from the service on superannuation.They are:
1. Dr.G.P JAYAKUMAR, Department of #Psychiatry
2.Dr. PRASANNA MOORTHY, department of #Dermatology.
The entire SUTAMS family (Teaching and Non teaching staff) attended the function.Our CFO, Mr. V.V Subramanian welcomed the gathering and the Presidential address was given by Dr.K Salil Kumar.All the HOD’S felicitated the 2 senior professors and they were given mementos and gifts as a token of appreciation by the management and staff.

SUTAMS, conducted a comprehensive Medical camp on 23.02.2021 in collaboration with #Thottumukku Arts and sports club, Arisuparambu, #Trivandrum. The camp was inaugurated by Arts and sports secretary. 137 patients attended the camp.
Specialists from the following specialties attended the camp: General medicine, #Pediatrics, General surgery, #Obstetrics and #Gynaecology, #ENT, #Ophthalmology, #Dental, #Dermatology, #Orthopedics.
Patients were given proper treatment and medication. The highlight of the camp is that we have diagnosed 69 patients having diabetes & PAP smear was done in 5 patients. The camp came to an end by 3:30 pm.
