The International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP) is an annual celebration of the power of sport to drive social change, community development and to foster peace and understanding. This was created by the United Nations General Assembly in 23 August 2013, supported by the International Olympic Committee since 6 April 2014. This date commemorates the inauguration, in 1896, of the first Olympic games of the modern era.

The International Day of Conscience is a global day of awareness celebrated on April 5, commemorating the importance of the human conscience. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly on July 25, 2019 with the adoption of UN Resolution. The first International Day of Conscience was celebrated on April 5, 2020.

International Children’s Book Day (ICBD) is a yearly event sponsored by the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY), an international non-profit organization. Founded in 1967, the day is observed on or around Hans Christian Andersen’s birthday, April 2. Activities include writing competitions, announcements of book awards and events with authors of children’s literature.

SUT Academy of Medical Sciences observes ‘World Autism Day – 2021’ on 2nd April 2021 marking this special day of observance.

World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day on 2 April every year, encouraging Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness about people with autistic spectrum disorders including autism and Asperger syndrome throughout the world.

World Tuberculosis Day – CME

SUTAMS, celebrated “World Tuberculosis Day” on 27.03.2021 with a CME which was attended by 50 participants. The #Respiratory #Medicine department organized the #CME. The main speaker was Dr.Dev Kiran, District TB Officer, Trivandrum. Dr Drishya S Kumar was the master of ceremony and she welcomed the gathering. Principal, Dr K Salil Kumar, chaired the session. Dr Dev Kiran’s topic of the presentation was NTEP, recent updates and the 2nd speaker were Dr Roy A S, Professor and HOD of #Paediatrics. He talked on Latent TB. The Momentos were presented to the speakers by the principal. There was a question-answer session also.

SUT Academy of Medical Sciences observes ‘World Theatre Day – 2021’ on 27th March 2021 marking this special day of observance.

World Theatre was created by the ITI and was celebrated for the first time on 27 March 1962, the date of the opening of the “Theatre of Nations” season in Paris. Ever since, each year on that date, World Theatre Day is celebrated on a global scale.
