World Hearing Day 2026

In accordance with the theme of World Hearing Day 2026, “From Communities to Classrooms,” the ENT Department conducted an awareness session on hearing disabilities for patients.

World Hearing Day is an annual global advocacy event for raising awareness regarding hearing loss and promoting ear and hearing care and calling for action to address hearing loss and related issues. Each year, this event is celebrated on 3 March, covering a specific theme on which the World Health Organization and its partners carry out activities based on this theme.
  
In accordance with the theme of World Hearing Day 2026, “From Communities to Classrooms,” the ENT Department conducted an awareness session on hearing disabilities for patients.
  
The Head of the Department, Dr. Swapna, addressed the gathering, creating awareness and emphasizing the importance of early detection and appropriate intervention for hearing impairment.
  
Free audiology testing services were provided to patients and were conducted by the audiologist, Mrs. Arya.
More than 20 patients attended the awareness talk, and nearly 30 free audiometry tests were performed as part of this initiative.
Kudos to the ENT Department for successfully organizing the program. We look forward to many more such informative events in the future.
  

National vision of Viksit Bharat @2047

Aligning with the National vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 (Developed India by 2047) by promoting standards like NABL and NABH, the Department of Pathology at Sree Uthradom Thirunal Academy of Medical Sciences (SUTAMS) under the guidance of MELAP ( accredited by National Board for Quality Promotion) conducted a 4 day National Level CME from February 4th – 7th 2026 on “Laboratory Management Systems & Internal Audit” as per ISO 15189:2022.

This program was designed to empower laboratory professionals with the knowledge, skills, and practical tools required to implement and sustain internationally accepted quality management systems by strengthening laboratory quality infrastructure, enhancing professional competence, and promoting excellence in diagnostics—thereby supporting reliable healthcare delivery and national health outcomes!
