The Department of Paediatrics, SUTAMS, in association with the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP), successfully organized the PETAL – Paediatric Emergency and Trauma Awareness League Workshop on 22nd May 2026.
The workshop focused on enhancing the practical skills and emergency preparedness of healthcare professionals involved in paediatric care. Participants received valuable hands-on training in critical areas including
airway management, difficult IV access, trauma management, and the management of shock during the care of sick children.
The sessions were highly interactive and skill-oriented, enabling participants to gain confidence in handling paediatric emergencies effectively. Expert faculty members guided the group through various emergency scenarios and
demonstrated evidence-based approaches to timely intervention and patient stabilization.
The workshop served as an excellent platform for learning, collaboration, and strengthening emergency response skills in paediatric healthcare.
