World Hearing Day is an annual global advocacy event for raising awareness regarding hearing loss and promoting ear and hearing care and calling for action to address hearing loss and related issues. Each year, this event is celebrated on 3 March, covering a specific theme on which the World Health Organization and its partners carry out activities based on this theme.
In accordance with the theme of World Hearing Day 2026, “From Communities to Classrooms,” the ENT Department conducted an awareness session on hearing disabilities for patients.
The Head of the Department, Dr. Swapna, addressed the gathering, creating awareness and emphasizing the importance of early detection and appropriate intervention for hearing impairment.
Free audiology testing services were provided to patients and were conducted by the audiologist, Mrs. Arya.
More than 20 patients attended the awareness talk, and nearly 30 free audiometry tests were performed as part of this initiative.
Kudos to the ENT Department for successfully organizing the program. We look forward to many more such informative events in the future.
