In celebration of World Glaucoma Week (March 9-15, 2025), the Department of Ophthalmology organized an enlightening talk by the esteemed Dr. Ambika Shetty on the topic, “Decoding Glaucoma: A contemporary overview for clinicians”.This informative session aimed to raise awareness about glaucoma, its risk factors, symptoms, and treatment options, promoting early detection and intervention to preserve vision.The talk was followed by Quiz session for the audience members including faculty members, post graduates & undergraduates.
Free Glaucoma screening was conducted in Ophthalmology OPD on 14th March, 2025 -for all patients & staff above the age of 40 years. Visual field analysis & OCT were also made available at deduced amount, for glaucoma suspects.
An awareness class was taken by Final year MBBS students and faculty to patients & bystanders on the same day.
