In connection with the World Glaucoma Week Dept of Ophthalmology conducted Glaucoma awareness programme in our OPD on March 14th 2024. Out of the 90 patients who consulted our OPD, 67 patients were above the age of 40 years. Free IOP checking and fundus examination was done for all of them. HFA and OCT scans were done at concessional rate, for Glaucoma suspects.
Along with that poster competitions for students and interns were conducted and prizes were distributed for the same. Public awareness talk on “IMPORTANCE OF GLAUCOMA SCREENING “ was given to patients and staff. Free antiglaucoma eyedrops were made available to deserving patients.
